The Association of Sound Therapy and Harmonic Studies
This association was founded in 1998 by Michêle Averard and Nestor Kornblum, in order to establish standards in the
practice of sound therapy in Spain. Its primary aim is to spread the awareness and knowledge of Sound as a powerful
tool for personal and planetary transformation.
No prior knowledge or study of music or sound is necessary in order to attend this course. All the techniques may be
learnt by everybody.
Who can benefit from this course?
- Anyone interested in Sound
- Therapists of any healing modality who wish to integrate Sound into their practice. This may include yoga, Tai Chi,
massage and body work, dance, craneosacral therapy and many more..
- The most important aspect of this therapy is that everybody learns to use tools they already possess to experience
health, well-being and an elevated vibratory rate
This Sound Therapist Training will be given by
Michêle Averard: Sound Therapist, Craneosacral Therapist, Reflexologist, singer/songwriter, musician
Nestor Kornblum: Sound Therapist, singer and teacher of Overtone Chant, musician
Nestor and Michêle are internationally respected in their field of Sound and Music for healing and conduct courses
worldwide on the therapeutic and transformative uses of sound, and particularly the voice. They have published
several CDs of music for healing, transformation and relaxation. Their double CD “The Harmonic Octave” is used by
therapists worldwide to enhance their healing modality.
Through vocal harmonics (overtone chant), vocal techniques, and a variety of sound tools and instruments, a course
participant is taken on a ‘Sound Journey’ through the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of sound.
Employing knowledge which ranges from ancient shamanic practices to modern scientific techniques, everybody
receives and takes home useful and powerful healing tools for personal (and planetary) transformation.
Michêle combines her experience as a professional singer with overtone chant, energy work and a deep, intuitive feel
for what each individual needs in order to connect with their inner and outer voice.
Nestor specialises in overtone singing (vocal harmonics), and is an experienced teacher who has had excellent
results. He is one of few Westerners to master Eastern chanting techniques with which a singer can produce 3 or 4
simultaneous sounds. His Overtone Guide book with CD in 6 languages is used by thousands of students worldwide.
Module 1 - 20,21 October 2007
The Science and Theory of Sound Therapy. How sound affects us on all levels of our being.
Module 2 - 17,18 November
The Healing Power of Sound and Energy. Practical techniques to take conscious control of the energy that flows
through us, using the power of intention, visualization and the voice. Cleansing, harmonizing and balancing the
chakras and subtle bodies with Sound.
Module 3 - 15,16 December
Overtone Chant: Singing two simultaneous sounds by amplifying the harmonics within your voice. The basic techniques
and therapeutic applications. Sound as a tool for raising personal and planetary frequency.
Module 4 - 19,20 January 2008
Singing Bowls: The origins, theory and applications in self –healing and applied healing. Includes practical sessions.
Module 5 - 16,17 February
Tuning Forks and their application in Sound Health Therapy. Intervals (the relationship between sounds) and their effect
on the human system on mental, emotional and physical levels.
Module 6 - 15,16 March
The use of colour in conjunction with other sound healing tools, advanced energy management: Protection and cleaning
of spaces, rooms and energy fields & the treatment area. How to give a complete Sound Healing session
Module 7 - 12,13 April
Harmonic Integration. Revising and integrating the entire course. Practical evaluation and award of diplomas.
All modules will include Theory, Practise and Evaluation
