The Association of Sound Therapy
The Association of Sound Therapy is an organization of professionals dedicated to the belief that music is healing and life enhancing. Its mission is to serve its members and the general public by providing standards of professional competence, and developing and promoting knowledge in, and of, the field of sound therapy.
The association of Sound Therapy was founded in 1998 by Michêle Averard and Nestor Kornblum, in order to establish standards in the practice of sound therapy in Spain.
Nestor and Michêle, directors of the association, conduct intensive courses on the therapeutic and transformative uses of sound, and particularly the voice. Through vocal harmonics (overtone chant) and many other vocal techniques, a course participant is taken on a ‘Sound Journey’ through the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of sound.
The Dome is a retreat center and a place for concerts located in Alcalali, Spain. It was especially build for soundhealing therapies, so there are great acoustics and an amazing peaceful energy inside.
